A caring work environment can assist in producing greater employee productivity, reducing absenteeism and increasing loyalty. There is also evidence that a healthier workforce is likely to have fewer workplace injuries.
All our workplace programs are customised to meet the objectives and budget of each employer through seminars, expos, health checks, coaching, an online health portal and more - these services can run alone or form part of an integrated customised program.
WorkSafe Victoria has recognised that the workplace provides a significant opportunity to promote health and wellbeing and has funded WorkHeath.
What is WorkHealth?
WorkHealth is brought to you by WorkSafe Victoria and is part of the Victorian Government's plan to improve the health of Victorian workers and the productivity of workplaces. Over the life of the initiative, Victorian employers will have the opportunity to participate in one of two opportunities:
- Worker Health Checks - offering workers a free and confidential health check which helps them understand their risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes. UHG has been selected as an endorsed service provider based on our ability and experience in providing high quality health checks for employers.
- Workplace Health Promotion Grants - employers who have offered health checks to the majority of their workers in the past two years can access a grant to expand existing workplace activities. UHG offers an online health portal, Health IQ to supplement face-to face services which may be funded by this grant.

Online Health Portal - Health IQ
This is a dynamic and interactive self management health program which can be client-branded, customised and integrated as needed. It's a great service on its own and even more effective when used in conjunction with Worker Health Checks and other occupational health initiatives.
Features include:
- Comprehensive online health encyclopedia with up-to-date reliable information
- Personalised emails known as HealthBytes
- Informative periodic newsletters
- Valuable analysis of employee group
