Since its inception in 1997, UHG has been able to effectively identify opportunities in carefully selected markets and to develop innovative solutions to assist our clients to achieve their business objectives. UHG’s growth has emerged via a series of defining moments:
| 1964 | One doctor. One clinic. The seeds are sown for UHG by Dr Leon Carp by establishing High Street Medical Clinic, a high quality medical practice in Prahran, Melbourne. |
| 1997 | UHG’s OHS business unit commences. Commissioned by Crown Casino to provide pre-employment medicals for the launch of its new Southbank complex. |
| 1999 | Delivery of national Flu vaccination programs for employers supported by CSL |
| 2002 | Medical advisory service commences for principals of the public school network. Comissioned by the Victorian Department of Education & Training. |
| 2002 | Opened new purpose built medical centre to house High Street Medical Clinic |
| 2002 | Selected to provide the Victoria Police Infectious Diseases Prevention Program |
| 2002 | UHG’s Life Insurance Solutions business unit commences. Commissioned by Zurich Financial Services Australia to outsource collection of Personal Medical Attendant Reports for life insurance applications. |
| 2005 | Selected as the OHS partner for the Victorian Ambulance. |
| 2006 | Selected by AXA Australia to provide a one-stop solution for all its medical requirements for underwriting & claims |
| 2006 | Establishment of Australia’s first outsourced Tele-interviewing Service for the life insurance market |
| 2007 | Establishment of Health Screening Network, a mobile national network of nurses and pathology collectors |
| 2007 | Selected by a leading Australian life insurer to manage the customisation, implementation and hosting of its new underwriting automation system |
| 2007 | Selected by Australian Unity to provide an online health and wellbeing portal known as Wellplan Online |
| 2008 | Selected as the tele-interviewing partner for Asteron |
| 2009 | Launch of Allfinanz Underwriting Automation System customised to Australian group life insurance market |
